Pinewood 3
HHCA 0

Pinewood scored less than two minutes in and never looked back. Third straight region title for Pinewood. Pinewood had many more good scoring chances. Four shots on the six, two with no keeper in sight, in the first could have made the game a route.

Great goal by eighth grader Malcolm Reed (yes, Lawrence's little brother)in the end. Man, that was a great recruiting coup when we arranged for the Army to transfer the Reeds to Summerville....

BA 5
HHP 2

BA up 2-0 early. HHP got a pretty good shot and scored, and a PK before the half. then BA came out and scored 3 in the second half and pretty much completely dominated. HHP might have had possibly 5 shots at the most the entire game.

so is HHC and Pinewood's match staying a 1-1 tie? because I heard different scenarios going on but i figure someone from Pinewood or HHCA would know the best.

Hammond 1-3 Ben Lippen

shots were around 5-11
Ben Lippen scored in the first 2 minutes of the game, and then 2 times in the second half. Hammond's goal came off a cross that rolled on the field goal post (which I thought is supposed to be out, and the goalie stopped playing along with both teams standing and watching while one hammond player headed it in). I don't like to complain about refs, but two obvious goal scoring opportunities were taken away from Ben Lippen when the ref was not in position, and made iffy offsides calls.

Cardinal Newman 0-0 Heathwood, HH in pks (5-4)
Continutation of a rained out game that made it to halftime making the final score of 0-0 official, they then had to continue the game with 2 overtime periods followed by pks. This game causes a tie for 1st in region between Ben Lippen and Cardinal Newman, both teams have 1 more game to play though, we shall see what happens.

tonight, Cardinal Newman and Heathwood wrap up their seasons at Heathwood. If Cardinal Newman wins tonight, and Ben Lippen wins tomorow, they will be tied for 1st in region, and play a game saturday to determine the region champs. If Cardinal Newman loses and Ben Lippen loses, then there will be a 3 way tie for 1st in region and it will go 1 Ben Lippen, 2 Heathwood, 3 Cardinal Newman.

Good question. If I have the region standings correct, HHCA stands at 6-4-1 and BA stands at 6-5-0. A loss in that game would put HHCA in a tie with BA in league standings, each one winning on the oppositions field by an identical score.

I believe that the region officials have to make a decision.

thanks, does anyone know when this decision will be made or when the teams in the region will find out? also, does anyone know when the scisa playoffs are supposed to begin? because we're on our last week of school this coming monday and no one has told us when the playoffs are supposed to start.

correction about upperstate region. I believe that if both Cardinal Newman and Ben Lippen win, then ben lippen would be region champs based on head to head goal differential which is 1-0 in favor of ben lippen.
