why should PRE season games count on your season record though. i play basketball and when we play in preseason tournaments the games do not go on our record, however if we play in a tournament in the middle of the season they count on our record, i dont see why this should be different in soccer. i know in our tournament we tried to invite bigger schools for the experience and our coach tried different things and we were still getting used to playing with each other, i thought that was what preseason tournaments were used for, not to count wins and losses

MS9, preseason tournament matches DO COUNT on a team's record. In fact, any tournament match counts on a record. These are important for ranking purposes, but they do not affect anyone's postseasons.

i'm agreeing with tigerman. those are good rankings. those are what they should look like. and lampshade is right. irmo should drop out of top 10 they have a losing record. and who cares about the 3-2-2 stuff. it's still not good enough to be in the top 10

DF has won almost all their games in OT or PKs and alot people say they shouldnt be #1, but look at it like this you can win the title in both of those ways.Somebody stop them then say something

Oh yeah, wando loses to HH, and is still ranked ahead of HH, also HH loses to JI and still is ranked a head of them. How does this crap work?

Well I just looked at both teams games played this season and here's what i see:
Hilton Head- (7-3) and they've given up 10 goals 2 games they got shut out 3-0
Wando-(7-1-1) only have given up one goal
that should answer your question to why wando is ranked ahead of HH

Walhalla soundly beat Palmetto 6-1 tonight. Palmetto came out fierce in the first half of play, scoring first on Walhalla, and holding them scoreless for almost the first 20 minutes of play. Walhalla turned on the juice in the second half of play and with frequent substitutions, Palmetto just couldn't keep up with the pace.

irmo mostly outplayed DF in their game. prince missed what should have been a goal in the beginning. DF obviously couldnt handle irmo's "weak" defense. The ball just fell with DF this time with a freshman( i think) missing a final PK..
I know, I know. DF still got the win and i commend for them that. great teams know how to get the job done, but until they actually handle a team, ill consider them #1. they are definetly close but i think its gonna be gamble for #1 spot.
So if irmo can play with the so-called "#1" team all the way to the 2nd sudden death PK, i think they deserve a higher ranking.
