NO KIDDING!!!!!!!
Chapin JV is waiting on the varsity to finish before they have their tryouts.
I know many of the schools do it this way but as a JV parent I'm anxious to get tryouts overwith! [Smile]

Sad, sad, sad. First day of try-outs and eight, that's correct - EIGHT girls show. There MAY be three more coming. I think I'm going to move to Mt. Pleasant!
Several of the girls that were there said more girls didn't come out because "if you play girl's soccer, you are a lesbian. They dress and undress in front of each other."
Help me Lord. Just two more years of this crap.

Soccerdog6, all I can do is laugh with you.

Chapin tryouts rained out yesterday. They do that because they always have one or two HS players that get pushed to JV. During John's first year they didn't take that into account and he push 6-7 players back to JV and it caused a real mess because they had already select 17 players for the JV squad. So they had too many players that year. I know that they will do the soccer training for JV starting today but they just won't cut any players until after John has made his cuts final.

So I guess all male sport participants are gay...?

Or all the basketball, volleyball, swimming, softball, etc. girls are lesbian...

it makes you wonder how we continue to exist as a species when the reproductive portion is so skewed...doesn't it?

I just hope they have cuts this year...last year they didn't and there were several girls that only played 5 maybe 10 minutes the entire season, they had no business on the team. Which is worse cutting them or making them practice every day and then only play 5 minutes all season?

I think if a girl only records minimal time during her season-it's ok...IF AND ONLY IF that coach has informed them prior to the season of the dreary outlook. That gives them a chance to play for another club team, or head into the year with a "pay my dues" mentality.

Only 8 girls for tryouts on day 1? Ouch! Can I ask which HS?

Have you officially switched squads this spring? Are you now on the JI bandwagon?
