The path for Dreher to play again for the lower state title looks doable. First up is Socastee, rated #14 (DHS is #8) - no common opponents that I could see in a cursory glance. Then comes Crestwood - who lost to Sumter twice while DHS beat Sumter 7-1. If that holds, it's DHS vs Chapin for the 3rd time on May 5th. DHS should be mad since they lost again to Chapin last Friday and got BEAT, SCORCHED, STOMPED, whatever, by BC last night. I still contend that DHS has a slightly better team than Chapin. Exception (and it's a big one); Layla Neal (CHS) is the best goalkeeper I've seen DHS play this year. She and my daughter play on the same club team. DHS is weakest at that position.
