Excellent chance for the South team at the 60' minute mark as a ball sent over the top of the North's back line is ruled onside and Irmo's Brittney Horton has a 1v1 with goalkeeper Kelli Whitfield of T.L. Hanna HS. Horton's shot from the six-yard box is saved and the threat is thwarted.

We have reached the 67:30 mark of the match and a much needed water break is taken.

At the 67:50 mark, Aiken's Ellie Victor launches a shot from 19 yards out past the outstretched arms of Hartsville goalkeeper Jamie Coker to stretch the North's advantage to 5-0. Mattern collects her third assist of the day with a well timed pass to setup the shot by Victor.

At the 73:10 mark Mattern does it again as she heads a loose ball over Coker to make the score 6-0 and the North squad is cruising right now.

The North team equals the highest total (2002, 7-1 South win) for goals scored in this annual event as Dorman's Julia Chapman plays a ball through the South defense and it's inadvertently redirected past the goalkeeper by a South player for an own goal. If 7-0 stands over the next seven minutes, then that would be the largest margin of victory for any team (boys or girls) in this All-Star Classic.

Horton from Irmo again has perhaps the South's best chance for a goal at the 42:50 mark as she collects a pass on the right side of the penalty area and fires a shot to the back post, but it just goes wide of the goal minded by Whitfield.

The series is now tied at 5-5 as the North earns their first win since 2003.
