Congratulations to Ocean Strand Soccer Club U14 Hurricanes coach, ALAIR ALMEIDA for being chosen SCYSA's Coach of the Year!! Coach Almeida, with the assistance of Coach Ross Morgan, led the Hurricanes thru a fantastic spring season, culminating in a State Challenge Cup Championship. (Eliminating GFC Black in the semi's and then St Giles FC in the finals). Last weekend in Greensboro, at the Regional Competition, Coach Almeida led the team to a 1-1 tie against S. Texas state champions (Classics Blue), a 3-3 tie against Georgia state champs (Concorde Fire), and a 2-3 loss to Mississippi state champs (Tupelo FC United). A great weekend, OSSOC!!
