This has been on the SCYSA web page for 2 days, and no discussion about it, which is kind of interesting. The upstate one had a significant amount of discussion.

ODP Information Night Coastal District
SCYSA is sponsoring an ODP Information Night in the Coastal District.

Date: October 26, 2006
Place: The College of Charleston stadium field in Mt. Pleasant.
Who is invited: Players, Girls and Boys, birth years 1990; 1991; 1992; 1993 & 1994 ONLY

We will have training sessions and “Question and Answer” times for players and parents. Questions like “What is a national program? “Who goes to Region III camp?”

6:00 - 6:30 training session Boys
6:30 question and answer session players on the field
6:30 question and answer session parents at the field
Pizza for players

7:00 - 7:30 training session Girls
7:30 question and answer session for players on the field
7:30 question and answer session for parents at the field
Pizza for players

We will have a diagram at the field showing age groups where to go. Age groups: Boys and Girls birth years - 1990; 1991; 1992; 1993; 1994 ONLY. And, an information sheet for parents with the application for ODP tryouts and Region III Medical Release form attached.

All Coastal Clubs are encouraged to send their players and any player in the State is welcome.

Perhaps it has not been discussed because SCYSA is sponsoring this event instead of a local club stepping up and sponsoring it like CESA did. Other than that, it is basically the same format as the event in Greenville on October 10.

Thanks to Coach Polson for the assistance in coordinating this for the Coastal area. I'm hoping this goes out to all the clubs but I hadn't seen it on any of the local (SSC, MP, or CUSC) web pages.

The CUSC website has this posted. As well, DOC Andy Grist has sent an email to all the teams promoting this event.
