Some people don't have geographical constraints that require them to make the choice. Some can do both, regardless if they are playing Gold/Premier/Elite or classic.

Bridge 92 Boys will be playing both U14 Challenge AND RIII Premier.

It certainly helps if you live 15 minutes from both the Club practice fields and the school practice fields. It also helps if you have a close correlation between Club and school, meaning Club kids flowing into 1-2 schools instead of 4-5 schools. Not sure how a Club coach can coordinate around that many schedules.

But a top level Club team is training 3-4 times per week to go along with games. I think the stars would have to be about perfectly aligned, or........have every flexible and tolerant school and club coaches. To think that there won't be a ton of conflict with a JV program that trains2-3 times per week plus 12 games......I just don't think is realistic.

Can it work? Of course. But it goes beyond committment.

Hurst, I've been dealing with it for 6 weeks now with soccer and MS basketball. Both coaches have been mad at me and neither accepts missed practices.

B: Bridge 92 gold also playing U14B challenges would cast a shadow over my prediction. But from a state cup seeding standpoint, with CESA 92 premier and Bridge 92 gold 'taking' 1 and 2, I would still predict that CUFC U14 elite will garner a 3rd seed.

League scheduling is this weekend. Looking at the list of accepted teams the CESA 93 Girls Premier is looking to upset and stake a claim in the U-14 age group. They went undefeated last fall only giving up 1 goal in the U-14 age group. Do you all think that they can beat those teams twice and then win the state cup, with CESA 92 Premier and Bridge 92 gold competing for the cup? They posted a great result over the holidays winning the Disney Showcase.
Columbia United posted some great results beating the CESA 92 Premier last fall. This race would be very tight all the way.

The U-13 age group should also be interesting, Bridge 93 Gold deciding not to play in the U-14 age group. They finished third in the U-14 challenge league last fall. They also gave CASL Elite, a great match this past weekend eventually losing 2-1 after taking the lead. They squandered a lot of chances to close the game. The Hurricanes moves up from the Classic division where they scored 77 goals. Surprising that Aiken did not play in the Challenge year this season

CRSA Gold went undefeated in this division last fall; it would be a great accomplishment if they were to repeat this spring.

It seems that the regular season should be a horse race between CESA 93 Premier and CUFC U14 Elite. CESA is a very well coached team and CUFC has seemed to improve by leaps and bounds.
State cup in U14G will most likely feature these two teams in the finals for a third match of the spring. CESA 92 Premier is not as strong as the 93 girls and will take a lot of lumps in Premier league play making their chances at a repeat state cup not promising. Bridge 92 Gold lost 3 or 4 players over the break, not playing a league schedule in the fall, and playing Premier this spring will take its toll on them by state cup.

Bridge 93 Gold should dominate U13 girls challenge. They are an excellant team and did well playing U14 challenge in the fall. It would be very suprisiing if anyone even comes close to competing with them this spring.

Whoa everyone slow down before you count the CESA 92 girls out of the hunt for the U-14 State Cup. CESA 93 is an excellant team, however if I was putting money on it I would go with the 92's. These teams have played each other several times over the last six (6) months.

In the U-13s both Bridge and CESA's U-12 team are playing up into the Challenge division. I would agree that going into the season the U-13 Bridge team would appear to be the team to beat, but who knows. With the Hurricanes now moving up into the Challenge division I remain perplexed at why Aiken is going to play U-13 Classic.

Should be a great Spring.

Looking forward to seeing the CESA 93 Girls Premier on Super Bowl Sunday morning. I hear they are scrimmaging the South Charlotte girls.....I'll have to take a drive up to catch that one.

Bridge 94 Gold posted some good results playing in the James Island tournament in U-14 age group. They tied the Hurricanes 2-2 The U-13 age group is wide open.
