so what's the deal? i've been told that they are only like, what 6-3? not the usual wando team...somebody update me on the problems...

BE being a private school is not a reason to think they would be bad. Private school technically means they can "recruit" players I dont think they do but still BE is coached by and many of there players are from the Bridge FA program and also SSC and MPSC there is no excuse even if there 2a that they couldnt beat any 4a team like they did wando

according to the state paper this morning it would seem that there could possibly be some recruting with all of the schools in the future. SCHSL has changed the rule involving a player moving specificly for athletics.

BE is made up of almost the entire Bridge U18 Premier team. they are a good team and can give any other 4A team a run for their money. other 2 losses came in palmetto cup in the same day. lexington won 3-2 with a couple fluke goals, one being a free kick from midfield. and greenville is an excellent 3A team. in my opinion they are one the best teams in the state, including 4A schools.

I rememeber that Lexington game and I don't think any of the goals were flukes and were all well deserved. Both teams had a pk, Lexington scored off a long free kick, and Wando scored right after Lexington's starting goalie was taken out hurt and the cold backup was put in. If you look at it that way, Lexington still won 1-0. I think the better team won that game. Don't get me wrong, Wando is very good and I think will have a good chance of making it to the state championship, but excuses for losses won't help them get there.

You ever notice that goals are fluky when you loose??? But none of the goals you score are fluky when you win???

So what you are saying is that the goal from midfield was a complete accident and the player wasn't even aiming for a shot? I assume you have discussed this with him personally....?

You lost to two fairly good teams. Nothing wrong with it, and although I have not seen the rest of the low country in 4A, I believe that Spring Valley and Wando will be in the thick of things in the end. These are 2 solid teams.

I could be wrong about exactly when the red card came in. I'd been there for the JV game, too. I cannot find an ejection report with the exact minute. I've seen so much soccer since then, that I'm not sure.

It seemed longer because the player was already called for so many fouls. How many fouls did he have before he was ejected? I believe that's was he was being "razzed" so much. I'm sure his behavior was all the warrior fan's fault.
As I said before, Wando's defense was embarrassing. I believe you made my point in how the goals were scored.

Don't pull that poor 2A stuff. BE gets most of the best talent in lowcountry every yr. The wonder is why they don't perform even better.

I realize that BE has quite a talent pool, I am very familiar with BE and Bridge! That being said, I think it important to note that most of the players at BE are there for an academically rigorous program and are not primarily drawn to the school for sports. It may very well be that some talented athletes are not academically qualified to attend BE and or are not able to afford a nonparishner's tuition. Not to mention the strict uniform, hair standards, and stricter discipline that tend to go hand and hand with a parochial education. If size doesn't matter, then why not have all schools compete at the same level instead of having an enrollment criteria. I think that BE has some handicaps that Public schools do not have regardless of whether they're self imposed.
