It's always hard to pick the "best" out of any group. I also think it would be hard on a coach to field a team out of this group, and much would have to do with formation and tactics. Here's my opinion, and no doubt, there are many different opinions. Also, I'm probably going to miss some, may be wrong on class year, and butcher some names.

You forgot about Chambers def, Robinson fwd/mid both at WA

I have been wanting to point out one reality and this seems as good a place as any. A coach told me last year that players on his high school team were required to play club ball in the fall or they could not be on his team. I do not know if other coaches have this requirement, but I do know that most quality high school teams have nearly an entire starting lineup with years of club experience. Over the last four years at Lincoln, over half of the starting lineup has had no soccer playing experience, let alone club level experience. This means that Preston Myers and the few other experienced players at Lincoln have to create many of their own opportunities--and in the last two years (Preston's only two years here) they have had to create opportunities against entire club teams. I have not seen some of the other forwards play and I do not intend to take anything away from them, but Greenville and Northwestern and others I am sure have 9-10 club level players supporting the forwards. I understand that many on this board have seen all of the players talked about and form their opinions based on experience. Those who base opinions on statistics and results should factor in the fact that Lincoln's "stars" have to carry a heavier load than many others.

Good list of Sophomores. I think there is an impressive freshman class that'll be opening eyes also. Most playing JV but being pulled up to Varsity at times. Others that are on the varsity team. In the lowcountry Wando, Summerville and West Ashley's Jv team have some impressive freshman. West Ashley's Jv team has done better this year I think then in past. Lot of good soccer to look forward to in the future.

I think Leo Mucufsky (sp) from Irmo also has to be included in that list. He's a great center mid who has been starting since the very beginning of his freshmen year.

Coach Hartnett makes a very good point. I have seen his team play twice and twice I have been amazed by the weight that his 3 or 4 "club" level players carry. Those players should be talked about in any discussion for post season awards or best players in any classification. Good luck to Lincoln and all of its players and coach. I am a big fan and will be cheering for you as you make your way to a state championship.

I would not overlook Tyler Vukoder from Ft. Mill. Solid defender and all-around player. Also plays on the Discovery Premier club and ODP.

I thought Tyler was a junior, my mistake.

Great line up. Just wondering WHY you have "sitting the bench" the forward leading the state in goals in 4A ?
