sid42, thank you for a response and I welcome the discourse. Four of my players play Premier which I believe is a step up from challenge (one of those players has been working this year so has not been a full member of the soccer team). Two others I believe are at a level to play premier but do not. This year is the biggest club representation I have had, yet the other 6 regular starters (more than half) are new to soccer completely (girls and boys both--yes, as a small program we often have a girl with no soccer experience starting). From what you say, Stratford is in a similar situation which speaks well of their players also (However Preston plays on the same club team as Savage and Socastee's Watson and has outscored them both in the past two years). As to the comment on 1A--since 1A schools do not have large regions they can attempt to schedule tougher matches than many schools in larger regions (BE, Northwestern, Pinewood, etc.). If you look at the schedules for Lincoln, Christ Church, and Academic Magnet you will see that this is the case. Lincoln's current opponent's win loss differential is +74. As I said, those of you who base opinions on stats alone do not let a single "A" fool you.

That's part of it. But, in an attempt to put a more positive light on it, I have seen Valasquez, Martinez, and Meyers play against some tougher teams. The only game I've actually seen Savage play this season was a Sertoma, 2, 15 minute halves against BE. Even in that short amount of time, he was pretty impressive, I've just had more time to form my opinion with the others. All of them are quality players, and each of them has strengths that would fit different styles of play. I have no doubts that given more time it would make the decisions even more difficult.

Savage didn't make out the schedule. It appears that many of the Region VII and VIII teams play alot of the same teams. So, there are opportunites for others to "close the deal". I don't exspect you to know that Savage plays only the first half on many games, 5 or 6, I believe. He doesn't always play the whole 80 minutes in other games. His coach has too much class to allow him to run up his numbers.

There doesn't appear to be an overwhelming difference in the top two. Especially if you factor in the playing time for each. I don't exspect you to know the difference concerning time on the field, but I do!

In some cases, being fired can be a good thing. Although in this case, I'm not sure why I was fired since I'm trying to agree with you. However, it's somewhat a minority view at the present time, and it's easier to sway people with positive discussion rather than being confrontational.
