What are the tie-breakers if 2 teams end up with the same records within their region?

Depends on the region

Any high school AD in the region can tell you the different tie breakers.

Assuming T.L. Hanna and Wren win out, which team is the #1 seed from Region 1?

REGION 4-3A TIE-BREAKING STEPS

Step 1. Region Point System
The following point value will be used in assigning points for a win within the region:
1st Place.............6 points
2nd Place.............5 points
3rd Place.............4 points
4th Place.............3 points
5th Place.............2 points
6th Place.............1 point

If two teams are tied for a region position, each team will be acknowledged as that particular seed when the point system is used. (Example - if 2 teams are tied for 3rd place, any win against either team would be assigned 3rd place points.)

Step 2. High School League System

The following point system will be used if teams are still tied:

A WIN FROM A
4A school with a non-losing record = 5 points
4A school with a losing record = 4 points
3A school with a non-losing record = 4 points
3A school with a losing record = 3 points
2A school with a non-losing record = 3 points
2A school with a losing record = 2 points
1A school with a non-losing record = 2 points
1A school with a losing record = 1 point

IF TIED, THE WINNER WILL BE*
1. The team whose opponents have lost the fewest games.
2. The team whose opponents have won the most games.
3. The team whose opponents have scored the fewest points at the end of regulation play (all games).

According to the Region laws, if we both win out, the crown is shared. We each won by 1 so it goes to goals allowed in region for the #1 seed. Splitting hairs after that with some crazy stuff we've got over here in Region 1.

I really like how our region (and most others) do not use "Goals Scored" to determine tie breakers. Even though it all can be very confusing, they do put sportsmanship at the top.

The guidelines for the following tie breaking system for this region.

1. Head to Head
2. How you fared against other region opponents. (who beat the highest seeded teams)
3. Goals allowed
4. Goal differential up to 3 goals per game
5. Don't know
6. Coin toss

The region had come up with this because of teams not liking the playoff game. The only playoff game would be if there was a tie for 4th place in the region.

With the possibility of Airport, Chapin, and B-C being tied for 1st in girls. Since AHS won Friday night (vs. B-C), only Chapin can tie Airport in record with a win over B-C. The understanding is if that happened, AHS would get the one seed because of #3, goals allowed.
