WOW...have you guys seen the scores in the last few dorman games...they have been massacres. Now i know that their last two games were against gaffney and boiling springs, but 21 goals in the last two games is pretty darn "offensive". Dorman struggled early in the season, and only scored 1 goal in the first meeting with gaffney. Freshman Daisy Walker has proven to be a scoring machine. Emplit has also tallied some goals in the last few games. With Tori Danielson back from injury...i think dorman is setting themselves back up for a state championship run. They have turned into a team that is well balanced...and we should all get to see some exciting games coming up

I would speculate that the Dorman phenomenon is the result of the team growing and improving. Well coached. I often try to watch teams throughout the year. Some teams dominate early and then fizzle. Why? They stagnate and other teams grow.

Very hard for coaches to be disciplined enough to build a team. I think several of the best teams in the state at each level (A through AAAA) will show such growth and primarily be the teams at the end of the season at the state finals.

The last two Dorman matches were against the bottom teams in the region. Scoring should be easy for the top teams vs the bottom teams. Although some coaches limit the scoring when playing the bottom teams.

Im guessing Dorman overlooked Gaffney a little bit in the first game. A 1-0 win, even last night i heard it was 2-1 at half. They unloaded in the second half.

Well you heard wrong....dorman had 8 in the first half, and 5 in the second. and i understand that gaffney and bs are in the bottom...i stated that in the opening post...but for them to score 21 goals in the second games between them versus 5 in the frist is pretty good

I see many matches were one team gets to a 5-0 lead and the other team tends not play as hard on defense. Having a 8-0 lead in the first half would certainly meet this situation What advantage is there to increase a 8 - 0 lead to 13-0 lead? Padding our stats? How many goals has Dorman scored on the top three in the region?

If only Chico had stats to support my "not playing as hard on defense" theory.

well what im leading at, is that they have two more matches, against byrnes and spartanburg. if the trend follows, which i truely believe it will, there is no way byrnes will beat dorman, especially after losing to spartanburg on monday, and have to play mauldin tonight(i think). Also the meeting on the 23 against spartanburg will allow dorman to show their superiority

I now fully embrace goals scored as the ultimate and complete measure for soccer statistics regardless of competition or any other factor.

Thus, I believe that Satoya Murray from Marlboro County who has 35 points in 12 games is by herself the best team in the state -- easily capable of beating Dorman, Mauldin, Riverside, etc. The rest of this is just noise...

Wait, what was the score of the first game? Wasn't it close like futbol said?

We, Westside, played Satoya Murray (who played shoeless and alone) and lost 18-0. The game was called at the half, then the refs, in good humor, had pity on our souls and struck all evidence of the match from the record books.
