The appeal process is as much a part of the rules as is any other rule. No rules were "bent." They were applied as intended. The real shame would have been for Jenkins to have missed this game due to a bad and rash decision.

For example, I think Vance Benson's all-state certificate isn't as nearly as important to him as is the silver medal it sits beside. And my guess is that he's a lock for the Super 22 team.
