Big news for Philly.

From the Philadelphia Inquirer's sports page on their website:

Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

I want a team in the South by the MLS. I know the Atlanta area could support one. Heck even Charlotte could have one.

I don't think that many people go to the USL games in Charlotte. Do you think attendance would be that much better consistently for an MLS team with a salary cap of $2 mil? Atlanta---definately

If the USL team you are talking about in Charlotte is the Eagles, nobody goes to it because it is in a crapy high school stadium and they dont play anybody. If you construct a nice stadium that is small (but easy to expand) say the Battery's stadium that would help. Plus alot more people would come to see MLS players than USL players.

I dont know about Greenville I mean ya there is alot of soccer in Greenville but is is not that big of a city that is the reason I left the Charleston area off the list.

This has been due in Philly. I remember reading an article about some fans who support a team from Philadelphia that does not yet exist. I found this article about them. These people to to DC United and Red Bulls games just to pull against them because they're not Philly teams.

Yeah the SOBs "Son's o' Ben" even made it into last Junes Four Four Two. Good call on their part. I was rooting for Orlando, but knowing the area I know how fickle it can be.
