For the first regular season non-region match, I'm not sure how much more "spirited" you can play.
Assuming both squads improve and build from that starting point, they will be in good shape come playoff time.
I've seen BC once (vs Lex - granted a scrimmage) and they really only seemed to have one player that could move the ball to/keep the ball in the attacking third. That is going to have to change when you have Byron Quinatoa and David Slaughter out there pounding the ball from 20yrds out.
I think we can both agree that the 3A Midlands is strong this year. There is a lot of soccer to be played though.
