A thought: Want to see tough schedules? Measure the Goals Scored/Goals Against and eliminate the bottom 4 at the end of the year (eliminate blowouts against the two weakest region teams).
Want to measure improvement? Offensive: Divide Goals For 2008/2007. Defensive: Divide Goals Against 2008/2007.
Great way to measure true improvement if you stay in the same region and play approximately the same schedule.
