I would argue the Lexington girls and boys have the toughest schedules! Ouch!!!

Blue Ridge has lost 7 games this year:
1 to Riverside
1 to J.L. Mann
2 to Eastide
2 to Wade Hampton
1 to North Augusta (AAAA)
All to ranked teams.

Not whining, love the comp, but:
We play Riverside (#2) today at Riverside, and J.L. Mann (#3) later this week at J.L. Mann. Thanks to whoever demoted Riverside to #2 right before our game - ouch! We don't need that kind of help.

Based on the number of games against current all-class top-25 opponents and the average rank of these opponents, I would say the following girls’ teams have the toughest schedules, in order of schedule strength:

NOTE: The Strength Rating is the product of the number of games versus top-25 teams times the inverse of the average ranking of these teams.
Ie. StrengthRating = #games X (1 / avg-rank)

Coach P: Sorry for the delay in responding on this; I think it's the best "first-approximation" system I've seen. My only humble suggestion would be to denominate the number of games versus the top 25 by the total number of games; that way you don't have outliers in which a team has only a few games against highly ranked opponents causing their strength to be greater than a team with many more games against slightly lower ranked opponents.
If anyone ever cares enough to go to a "second-approximation" system (and it's probably not worth it) then there's something about region ranking that should go in -- teams leading regions tend to be hurt by this system -- but I have not a clue as to how to use that (or how important it is.)

Another problem that I see is that this system is limited by its reliance on the Top 25 rankings. For example, none of the teams that play Irmo get any credit for that since Irmo is not ranked. But I certainly think playing Irmo adds a degree of difficulty to the schedule.
