I am going with the upset in the Hammond - St. Joe's game. St. Joe's is the #1 seed from the upperstate, but Hammond's defense is too fast for them.

Here is a stat for you. In 170 minutes of soccer between the two teams this year, St. Joe's has not scored. They won the first game 1-0 on PK's and Hammond won the second game 1-0. Ali Hymson is very fast and very tough in the backfield and is able to keep St. Joe's looks to a minimum.

Ben Lippen has a dynamic scorer in Merritt Rollins (upperstate region player of the year), but Hilton Head Prep's defense is as good as most of the public school powerhouses. Cardinal Newman only had 4 shots in the game on Tuesday and two came on one play. A 20 yard shot by Alexa Barnes that hit the crossbar and a rebound shot to the keeper off of it.

Prep's normal sweeper Catherine Callaway has not played at sweeper since suffering a severly sprained ankle against Riverside.

Hammond is a very good team that seems to be peaking at the right time. They play hard and have good speed all around. They should win.
If Ben Lippen plays their "A" game, HHP could have their hands full.
I hope the weather doesn't win in either game.

I'll take HHP for the title.

I am picking Hammond in the upset. I feel that their speed up top is to much foe HHP to handle. The region they played in was obviously much tougher than the region HHP was in. Evidenced by 3 of 4 semifinl teams being from their region. It seemed easy for HHP to win playoff games at home but Hammond did it on the road the hard way. My prediction

I'm going with HHP. Impressive results and offensive ability as reasons why. Tested schedule too!
