I probably am more ashamed of that mistake than our schools are for violating a law. Since, you like to point out things done incorrectly. RECCOS is your area Title IX correct? Or are you just the grammar police, and not willing to attack an issue of substance? Not meant to be smart, a real question.

I think there are several soccer coaches that perhaps work harder than any football coaches. Not saying that football coaches don't work hard and spend a lot of time at their craft, but I believe there are some soccer coaches and other sport coaches that do as well.
I would agree to that. Some work very, VERY, hard. I'd say all those on our Executive committee for starters.

I was messaging back that I did not really believe Volleyball was a balance for the glut that is Football, as you asserted. Really Volleyball is the balance for wrestling. Numbers/coaching staff size etc.
Unfortunetly, the only way to create real change fast is a law suit or a title IX complaint with the OCR. The solution is simply enforce the law. How many of you have done either? The answer is probably, none since most are in the system, which is probably the smart move. The OCR complaint will raise some eyebrows and make some thigs happen.(seen that happen myself!) The law suit is probably the best method, since the school district will have to pay for the attorneys when they lose. Cases of this type are easy to prove. Most districts only pay lip service to Title IV. You can not sue and do a title IV complaint at the same time. Choose your tool wisely.
Examples are abound, but one local High School Football team of note makes the TV once in a while, with its huge weight room, as a show piece. The "girls" teams are not allowed to use said weight room. To me this should be a point of "shame", and not a show piece. Hey, but that is me.

Yes, it is a shame about the gym. You seem to be pretty full of stuff from time to time yourself. It may just be me though.
There are a lot of issues with Booster Club monies, coaching pay, number of coaches, uniforms, locker rooms, et al.

I am not attacking any person. It is just the situation that is so off center. I will be honest with you, it amazing the amount of effort our coaches do for the pay. Head football coaches/ADs getting near 80,000, 100,000 that is probably enough. Soccer coaches picking up 2500-4000, I do not see how that is fair for those folks. A huge thanks goes out to those who realy put out the effort for the kids. I do get my blood pressure up over it, you are right. Not against a person, just the way things are today.

Not all AD/Football coaches get 80,000-100,000. Right here at Barnwell, our Athletic Director does not make enough for the hassle he has to put up with each and every day

Not all soccer coaches get $2500-$4000
In our district the Varsity coach starts under $1700.

I would agree...in our district the Varsity coach starts at $1200...whereas when I was a JV coach at Summerville...I made $1500
