Does scsoccer use paypal?

If you are going to register for the SCHSSCA Winter Clinic for this weekend, January 30-31, please do so ASAP so that we may get an accurate head count.

As for PayPal, SCSoccer.com did use PayPal until recently due to a breech of security on their end. It's going to take some time to re-establish that contact.

Late Registration: $75

Fee can be paid onsite at the Clinic on Friday, but please email/register to allow us to include you in our count.

Special thanks to our presenters -- Mike Barroqueiro (CofC) and Mat Cosgriff (USC) -- that did an excellent job with their on field sessions at The Plex. Also, thanks to the girls of the Congaree Rapid Soccer Association's U15 and U16 teams for their assistance with the demonstrations.

Thanks to the FCA for our breakfast on Saturday morning and the Clarion Town House Hotel for their outstanding hospitality.

Kudos to Lloyd's Soccer (Marc Lloyd and Carl Little) for their contributions to the Winter Clinic.

Notes from the SCHSSCA Winter Clinic

- SCHSL State Championships will not be played at the University of South Carolina's Stone Stadium this spring due to renovations being done on the facility beginning in March. Richland School District One's Memorial Stadium in Columbia is a possible venue, but nothing has been determined at this date.

- The North-South Soccer Classic senior all-star game will move to Wofford College for the June 11-13 event.

- Matt Brophy, SCHSL Auxiliary Committee Representative needs someone to volunteer for the SCHSL Sportsmanship session at White Knoll HS in February. For more information, contact Coach Brophy at [email protected].

- The Charleston Battery are offering HS teams the opportunity to attend the Carolina Soccer Challenge March 7-14 for $10 per player with attendance of at least 10 players from a particular HS team. The CSC features three MLS sides as well as the host Battery.

- SCHSSCA Calendar is updated on the "Calendar" section of the Message Board.

- All-State Committees will be announced in February.

- North-South Soccer Classic and Clash of the Carolinas nominations will be available at SCSoccer.com in mid-February.

- Kellie Herndon (Dutch Fork HS), Jim Iacuone (Laurens HS), and Mike Mauldin (Irmo HS) have agreed to coordinate the production of SCHSSCA All-State certificates.

- A sign-up sheet will be available online in mid-February for coaches to sign up for work details for the all-star games and state championship matches.

- There will be a school donation form for the two all-star games - NSSC & Clash online at SCSoccer.com for schools to support the all-star events.

- If you have a JV or club team that would like to volunteer for the ball chaser duties at the state championships, please contact coach Kevin Heise at [email protected] and specify which game you would like to cover. For the girls Finals on Friday, Irmo HS has volunteered the services of their JV and B-Team units.
