Dallas Texans 94 Red and CUFC 93 Boys Elite tied 1-1. A very good game. Go United!

I was in Orlando with the family from Dec 19 - 26. Parks were a little crowded but not crazy. Blizzard Beach was the least crowded and the lines were not bad. If you go to Epcot, fast pass the ride in Norway (the line moves VERY slowly) and fast pass Soarin' (great ride). This will save you a ton of time.

When I left, the club soccer crowd was just getting there (saw a couple of Dallas Texans shirts).

Two observations on the Orlando parks in December 2008:

1. Well over 50% of the people down there are from outside the US. (Their economy is obviously better than our's).

2. Many folks O-60 working in the parks (I'm sure some retirement accounts have taken a beating).

Region III 92 ODP beat Region II 4-0

I drove down today and it was miserable! Stop and go most of the way from I-26/I-95 interchange to Florida. Traffic in Orlando is just as bad. I miss Columbia already.

I think you got out just in time! I agree with your observations... many, many Chelsea people spending and spending. I got into an arguement in the elevator with a 6 year old. He was wearing a Liverpool jersey so I said you play for Liverpool? He said yup, and I said I pull for them too... He said, NO you don't, you're for Everton! I said I had my jersey in the room, and then I said, You'll never walk alone! His dad thought I'd passed the test, but the young lad still wasn't sure. They did say "Cheers' when I got to my floor.

The malls are impossible to park at. Had to drop wife and kids off and drive around 35 minutes before I found a space that I didn't have to fight for.

As for soccer... Excellent! Great competition at all fields. Seems to be more coaches, but maybe that's because I'm around U17 games this year.
Disney is doing a fine job with the Showcase. Not fond of the no re-entry rule due to Academy teams and the $7 to tape an ankle seems a little high since the ARP fields don't charge... but if you love soccer... it's now being played in Florida.

Not too difficult to pick out the English down there is it?

My wife and daughters give me crap for striking up conversations with these "strangers". What else are you going to do while standing in line for 75 minutes while waiting to ride The Mummy.

DSC 90 won 1-0 earlier tonight vs the Dallas Texans. The goal came from a pk by NW's Zack Clark after a scuffle in the box ended with a red card to the Texans keeper. DSC, #19 in the nation, plays PDA CRUYFF (NJ) who is the #9 team in the nation at 12:30. Should be a good game.

CUFC 93 Boys Elite lost to BW Gottschee(NY) 2-0. Will play in the consolation game tomorrow morning.

DSC 90 lost 4-1 today vs PDA CRUYFF (NJ). DSC went up early with a goal from NW's Robbie Benson. They controlled most of the half but let PDA get a late first half goal. In the second half PDA caught a break by getting a pk from a very questoinable call. PDA scored two more making it 4-1. Apparently the game was closer than the score but thats just how it goes sometimes. DSC plays at 10:45 tomorrow morning in the consolation game vs Knoxville Football Club.
