Anyone know how many people Memorial holds as compared to Stone stadium?

Wasn't there some issue with the State Football championships being moved this year? I remember hearing something about attendance being down or teams having issues with the amount of travel? Someone refresh this old memory!

u have got to be kiddding!!!! memorial stadium? that field is a joke. shows how much the schsl respects soccer! will football be played on an 80/120 yard field next fall? will the basketball championships be played outside on a concrete court with chain nets? surely the ballentine fields would be a better place that memorial stadium where parking is limited, access is poor and the neighborhood leaves alot to be desired safety speaking. surely there is something we can do. weaker teams are rewarded on a smaller pitch and we all know it. mr moderator, any suggestions? football went to clemson, can't soccer? i like blackbaud as well. what a waste....

Blackbaud is a good choice; we have 40 minutes there in the Rotary Classic at the beginning of each season, and playing on that pitch is one of the things my players really look forward to.

The game is a big revenue help for the Soccer Association of the state so being granted vending rights is a major issue (this mentioned on another thread). While other sites might be more ideal, I think raising money for the two all star games and such might be a bigger priority. Best of luck to those trying to coordinate!

So, play 7 state Championship matches on what sounds like a sub par field, so that money can be raised to support what about 108 players?

Let's see, 7 matches, with I don't know an average of 36 to 40 players per match, somewhere between 252 and 280.

Can't see throwing money down to fix something that I receive very little if any benefit from.
