Yes, the state championships had been at Memorial Stadium prior to moving to USC. But I do believe most of the years at the graveyard, the width of the field was modified so they weren't playing on it's designed size. Possibly, it wasn't until this past championship series did they use the full size of the graveyard. Heise's would know this, because they're always there working to make the money needed for the All-Star events, which are played in other locations across the state. As for the move of football championships to Clemson from USC, that was all about college recruiting and politicians. Please, let's keep the beautiful sport beautiful. Get our elected officials involved and it's going to blow. Team colors will either have to be blue or red. No yellow, black, orange, green, etc.
