@ Ben Lippen: 6
RNE: 2
Good scrimmage by both teams with some good physical play. Ben Lippen goals scored by Carrie Settle (2), Sara Ann McCain (2), and Lauren Jones (2). Excellent defensive effort by BLS and a fun game to watch. Great job ladies!

Blue Ridge 2
Seneca 1
Brutal game. Marissa Sumwalt out for the year with a torn ACL suffered on a corner kick header in front of the goal, and Emily Nicholson broke her fibia and was operated on last night.
Caitlin Fountain was also seriously hurt but seems to have fared the best.
Seneca went up 1-0, and then Blue Ridge for the second time so far came back and won.

ROH: Heard about Emily earlier today, sorry to hear Marissa was injured also. That's a big blow to both teams.

Daniel 3 Hanna 3 Good match. Hanna scored the equalizer late off a direct kick after a very questionable call (right CJ? )

DF-Clover
Very well-played match. Not a ton of substitutions as both coaches did a good job of managing this game as if it counted. Both teams were missing key players due to sickness, injury and ODP.
DF had the more dangerous chances but Clover more than held their ground. DF's #21 was the Gal of the Match, showing great pace up and down the right side and getting the goal for the Foxes.

ROH, Terrible news. Marissa was well on her way to having a great season. Sorry it turned out this way. Hopefully Emily and Caitlin will also recover to get back to 100%.

It was a fun, spirited match. When Craig asked me after the final whistle what I wanted to do, I said, "We're done." Spirited is one thing--freezing is another.
Sorry to hear about those injuries also. It's a tough way to start out.
