so how is a referee supposed to know who the teams leading scorer is or if a player has scored a goal at all? There is no way.
Personally, I agree Will as long as the celebration does not demote the other team. Running to your fans I feel is acceptable. I guess the idea is that celebrating excessively is bad sportsmanship on behalf of the player. I think if a goal is scored, the player and his team should be able to celebrate it.
