My son played JV and club. The coaches were understanding of conflicts, especially the school coach who was willing for him to get most of his practice time with his club. It was a good experience. The quality of soccer was much better at the club level, but the experience of playing JV with older players was a confidence builder. It would be tough if you had to chose one or the other. I would be inclined towards club if that were the case.
