Just got this from a CESA parent. Looks like players who make the Premier teams will not only play in the Elite Clubs National League, but they will do so wihtout paying Training Fees and Coaching Expenses. Wow.



CESA Under 15, 16 and 17 Girls Premier 2009-2010 Information


The following information regarding the 2009-2010 year discusses CESA membership within the ECNL, Region III, SCYSA Challenge Cup and CESA Club fees. This applies to the rising Under 15, 16 and 17 Girls Premier teams.

An additional attachment with an official ECNL press release is accompanying this letter.

CESA will be participating in the Elite Clubs National League for Girls. We feel that it is important that our Premier level teams have the opportunity to compete with many of the best youth programs on a national scale. The events we will take part in will offer top-level competition and exposure to the top college soccer programs in the country. The ECNL will also offer CESA Under 15,16 and 17 Girls Premier Teams a set tournament schedule that will only include the very best events on offer.

Our CESA teams will continue to be eligible to participate in USYSA sponsored Region III leagues and will compete for the SCYSA State Challenge Cup and a potential Southern Regional berth. For the upcoming Fall 2009 season our Under 15, 16 and 17 Girls teams have automatically qualified for participation within the Region III Premier League East. In addition, as an ECNL member club during the 2009-2010 seasons we will attend three of the following events. The ECNL league season will culminate with the National Championship Event, which will be held, in Seattle, Washington.

CESA recognizes that each family must sacrifice a great deal in order to participate at the highest levels of youth soccer. We are fully committed to providing the best soccer environment possible and feel strongly that the ECNL will provide this for our girls’ teams.

CESA as an organization recognizes that there will be additional costs associated with our participation within the ECNL. We feel as a club that it only makes sense to look at ways that can help our members take advantage of the opportunities we provide, and have made decisions that will impact the club fees that will be associated with participation on our Under 15, 16 and 17 Girls Premier National League teams.

Players selected for the CESA 92, 93 and 94 Premier Girls National League Teams for 2009-2010 will be responsible for their CESA Registration Fees ($100) and all individual player travel expenses associated with both league and tournament events.

CESA has made the decision to help offset the costs associated with ECNL participation by providing the training fees and Coaches Travel Expenses for these teams for the 2009-2010 year. Additionally, CESA has secured a uniform sponsor for the ECNL teams and each player will receive the ECNL uniform set before the fall season begins. These financial decisions were made with the best interests of all players at heart and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for all players within the CESA program. We are looking to the future and feel that CESA will continue to produce creative and ambitious players who will have the chance to showcase their abilities.

We are fully aware of the costs incurred with selection for these ECNL teams and feel that funds that have been raised for the CESA program should be used to make it possible for these elite level players to compete and test themselves against the best on an ongoing basis.

The CESA leadership, with corporate sponsorship and community support, has begun taking immediate steps to secure additional funding for the purposes of enabling CESA teams to limit the costs associated with participation in a comprehensive soccer program.

We look forward to the upcoming year and appreciate the passion, dedication and desire to develop shown by the players within the CESA family.
