Reading in another thread about the ECNL, am I to understand that if you play next year in the ECNL for 92, 93 or 94 CESA girls you will:

1) pay for your hotel bill (which you would at any other club)
2) pay for gas in your car (which you would at any other club)
3) pay NOTHING for a uniform (which I'm sure has been done before)
4) pay $100 for registration (which you would at any other club)
5) pay NOTHING else to CESA (which I've never heard of at this level)

Is that correct?

The way that I understand it (someone can correct me if I am wrong) is that players who make these Premier Teams will only have to pay #s 1, 2, and 4 which you mentioned above. They will not pay Training Fees and they will not pay for Coaches Travel Expenses. They will have to pay their share of the Showcase Entry Fees. Most of the higher level tournaments are about $1,000. So, each player would expect to pay about $70.00 per Showcase. I have also been told that CESA has put together some type of other policies as well that is intended to limit player costs even more.

It seems that most of the tournament dates in the Fall season fall under the regular season anyway so technically parents paid for the training already. I may be wrong....

apparently, no training fees will be paid for by players.

secondly, we didn't pay training fees for training that occured outside of the fall season. our player did train in the spring some the past couple of years, but we did not have to pay for the training.

Apparently I read the post wrong. It just seems like a very "generous" gesture from CESA. I'm aware that it's a non-profit organization and all but someone has to pay for the DOC's salary. It's a great option for the kids and I'm pretty sure it will be worth the drive for many parents.

Does anyone read this as "there will not be any additional fees" except for the "normal fees" for CESA premier?

You pay CESA premier fees and no ECNL fees?

One more time. Except for the $100 registration, there will be no other fees that parents of a Premier team player will have to pay. That's it.Why is this so hard? I don't get all the questions. It's pretty straight forward.

It's not hard to understand, it's just hard to believe that a year of competetive soccer would cost you only 100$ registration fee and some additional fees for showcases. I might be old school but I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden CESA would decided not to charge possible 54 kids (lets say 800$ per player per season = over 43000)almost nothing. Everyone asks questions because there is usualy a catch somewhere in almost everything we do....

I get the impression you will still pay for the "premier league training" for the teams that qualify and then ECNL fees are waived.

Or will there be two teams "premier" and "ECNL" ?
