I didn't do the math but Cantona seems to think NW is in.

Greenwood wins a very tough match with Westside tonight 1-0 and Region 1 finishes:
1. TLH 2. Wren 3. Greenwood 4. Westside

Who would the region V #5 (Aiken or N. Augusta) play in the first round? Number 1 region 5 (Dutch Fork) or region VI #1 (West Florence)? The bracket states they will be "...placed appropriately".
If Coach Chass is correct and Region 7-AAAA gets only 3 playoff spots, the R5 5th seed (N Augusta or Aiken) will take the R7 4th slot and play the 1st seed from R6, which is West Florence. And Dutch Fork will play the R8 4th seed which will be Ft Dorchester or Summerville.

Whoever thought Dutch Fork - Summerville would be a first-round state playoff match?
1. Dutch Fork has spent most of their time on the upperstate half of the bracket. 2. Summerville usually fairs a little better and avoids a giant like this in the first round.

I believe Dutch Fork has consistently been aligned in the Lower State at least since 2001.

One interesting note: The Dutch Fork Lady Foxes have participated in the AAAA playoffs five of the last seven years losing once to James Island, twice to Wando and twice to, guess who? Summerville.

Chass,
Berkeley should automatically go into a four-team playoff with the three teams that finished tied for 4th in Region 3 4A.
The winner gets the #4 seed in R3 4A.
The 2nd place finisher of that four-team playoff would then play the loser of a R4 4A playoff game between Lancaster and Rock Hill.
The winner of that match would then face the 5th place team from R5 4A to determine who gets the fourth seed in Region 7.
This breaks all 4th seed tie-breakers, but, of course, doesn't settle the problem if there is a tie for fifth in R5.
Hey, I'm all for anything that gets us more games--not ready for this season to end!
I've got good news and bad news...
