Lower state should go true to form, but the upper state could get really interesting ....

Upper State

Bateburg-Leesville slips past Southside (could easily be closer than most people might think)
Walhalla over Andrew Jackson
Woodruff upsets Gilbert
Palmetto upsets Emerald

Lower State

Bishop England over Silver Bluff
Hanahan over Ashely Ridge
Barnwell over Dillon
Waccamaw over Wade Hampton

I think you and I see things about the same when it comes to the Upper State brackets. All the games will be intense and well worth the watch either way!!! I do think that there will be some upsets in the brackets.

I think all upsets in the upper state
For grins, I'll even put some scores on these...

Palmetto 2, Emerald 1
Southside 4, Bateburg Leesville 3 (in ot)
Woodruff 3, Gilbert 1
Andrew Jackson 2, Wahalla 1

At half... Gilbert 1, Woodruff 0.

Woodruff dominated the half hitting both post and crossbar, but Gilbert scored on a a fast counter with less than a minute in the half.

Let's see what the 2nd half holds.

Woodruff,

you played a great season. As for tonights game, you controlled the first half hands down and the goal that they scored was a little skill and alot of luck.

The biggest difficulty Woodruff has is finishing!! The ratio of shots on goal from Woodruff to Gilbert has got to be 3 or 4 to 1. Finishing needs to be a focal point for next year.

You played with true class and heart. Keep your heads up and prepare for next year!!

God Speed.
