I knew that would be coming out at some point. And I deserved it alot earlier than that. But, you are right, I didn't think anybody could beat Riverside last season and HH put it on them. I had seen both teams against HHP and thought that Riverside was just too fast up front and just better all around.

Larry did such a good job with that team last year. I think he is a great coach and it will be interesting to see if he can get his team to play with that intensity through the rest of the playoffs. It's much harder to be the front runner than it is the underdog.

Having seniors at about every position helps tremendously though. I don't think players like Diana Borcyk and Carli Iulo get enough credit and I think Kiley Thompson is as good of a goalie as I saw all year long. I think she is tremendously underrated. Especially on the ground. She plays balls on the ground better than anybody I have seen this year.

Krista Hagler and Anna Tarry scored goals as Riverside ousted Mann 2-1 in a Class AAA second-round girls soccer matchup.

Hagler scored about seven minutes in for a 1-0 lead and Tarry added a header on a cross by Natalie Lackey to give Riverside a 2-0 advantage. But Mann's Rae Wilson scored with 30 seconds left in the half to cut the Patriots' deficit to 2-1.

“We let her go for five seconds and she put it over our head,” Riverside coach Aaron Hagler said. “She's quite a player. She had all of their shots on goal.”

Aaron Haglers daughter. Krista is a very quick,accurate,goal scoring machine.She did have a back injury this season that kept her out of 8 regular season games and the hungry howies tournament,and she was still nominated for the all state team.She is back now and looks better than ever. Keep up the great work Krista,and stay healthy.

I am neither the Dad or the Coach...but do think it is ironic that he was named the Coach! Seriously though, not to take anything away from Krista she is a great player and good to have her back.

And as the dad (not the coach as the Gvl News royally screwed up), it is great to have her back as her back injury could have been much worse. We were very fortunate to get the best news possible three weeks ago. Thank you God! (Correct Post this time.. my bad)
