B-C v Airport
AAA Quarterfinal

10 Minutes played at The Cage, and B-C and Airport are having it out for the third time this season. Play has been on the B-C half of the pitch a good part of the first ten minutes of play. Neither keeper has been challenged thus far. A good showing for Region V-AAA to say the least.

Another five minutes passes. Airport keeps up the pressure but has no scoring opportunities to speak of. A long throw and corner to the Eagles results in a B-C goal kick. Good action both ways here at The Cage in the AAA Quarterfinals...

We've played a half hour at The Cage thus far ... B-C have had two shots while Airport have failed to put one on the frame. The intensity has been there for Airport, though. The Eagles have had a good run of play and get the ball into their attacking third, but the ball has yet to challenge B-C goalkeeper Chris Duzan. A good crowd here at The Cage for the third match this season betweent the Lexington District Two rivals.

B-C counters an Airport advance with a flurry along the right touch. A free kick to the Bearcats just outside the penalty area results in a free kick into the box, but B-C is whistled for the foul impeding the goalkeeper. Airport's Griff Sims receives the first caution of the night shortly thereafter at the 35:04 mark of the match, and it remains scoreless here at Brookland-Cayce after 35 minutes.

Airport's Ivan Cervantes comes away cleanly with the ball by himself on 38 minutes, and carries it to the 18 before firing on the Brookland-Cayce goal. Chris Duzan is not up to the challenge and the ball finds its way to the back of the net. Airport take the advantage 0:1 on 38 minutes at The Cage.

Halftime at The Cage. Airport makes good on its lone shot on goal late in the first half, and lead the host Bearcats by a score of one goal to nil.

Three quarters of an hour in the book here on the campus of Brookland-Cayce High School ... B-C have had the run of play for the first five minutes of the second half, but the result is open play and the score stands 0:0.
