Congratulations to the FMHS Varsity boys as even though we did not come out the winner that nite versus a great team in NW, we look back at the season with pride. Being currently ranked 56th in HS population and playing other AAAA schools with much higher population, it was an achievement in itself to not only make the boys upper state semis but also the girls made it as well.
FMHS Varsity also sufferred like many other teams with key injuries to key starters. Torn ACL, torn meniscus, shatter collarbone, and torn hip flexors.
We were successful against teams such as Wando, Christian Brothers in TN who were ranked as the the #11 team in the nation, beating Blythewood, Wren and Dorman.
So, we hold our heads up with pride and look forward to the years of soccer ahead.
As a side note Chief - Know that Enzo was not the only player congratulating his opponents and was not the only class act that nite on the field. Many on the FM side did as well in the spirit of sportmanship and friendship.
