Gilbert High School Presents: The Second Annual Summer Soccer ShootoutMonday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9 (6:00 PM – 9:30 PM)
Objective: To provide a competitive summer match environment similar to what your team would receive at a summer team camp, and at only $3.00 per night for each player your team members can get team camp benefits minus the expensive costs.
***Our shootout features Full-sided 11v11 play consisting of 40 minute matches.
***Our shootout is run in accordance with The South Carolina High School League out of season rules. See Excerpt from page A-31 below
Excerpt from page A-31 of The SCHSL Constitution: Member schools will be permitted 10 days of competition in summer leagues, team camps, or other outside organizations during the time period of June 1 through July 25, 2009. They may use school facilities and equipment for these 10 days. The exact 10 days must be documented by date and records of these days supplied to the League Office if requested.
***This 4 night league is for current 8th through 11th graders who will be in grades 9 –12 during the 2009/2010 school year.
***Matches are 40 Minutes in length
***Players should be properly equipped in accordance with regular season rules
***Each player will pay $3.00 each night which goes to the match officials only
***Matches will be played on the Gilbert High School practice fields, 1 of which has lights.
***All match officials are certified.
***Each team is guaranteed at least two 40 minute matches per night and some teams could get 3 depending on the response for this upcoming shootout.
***Participating schools can designate a team 1 and a team 2 for schools that may get a big response from their teams.
***To reserve a spot for your team simply respond to Coach Kevin Darlington by email and your team will be admitted.
