I've seen the coach that seems to be the focus of this thread. If it is indeed this coach, he is the best youth soccer coach I've ever seen. There have been games where he sits the entire game and the only thing that got him off the bench was poor play/decisions by his team. I don't know him personally, my kids don't nor have they ever played for him or his club. But many times I wished we had the opportunity. And I have been at college games where he was in the stands with his team, and you would see numerous players go out of their way to come up to talk with him.
I guess some players wouldn't accept the "demeaning" criticism, but there seem to be a lot that do. More than likely the player he berated will be there as long as the coach thinks she's good enough for his team.
