And, just to clarify, when you say "Dorrance dosn't develope a single player, he gets the best players and puts them in a attacking system that wins with superior soccer talent" are you saying that the reason he has been so successful over the last 29 or so years, basically, is that he gets the best players (i got that part), sticks them on the field, and they do everything else?

What are you suggesting his purpose is? Is he just a glorified babysitter? Does the coach of the college team your daughter plans to play for realize you feel this way about their kind?

Sorry, I was being a little sarcastic, the two freshmen scoring did prove my point in so much as I wonder how much credit the girls would give coach Becky for developing them.

Belli:
I would hope that my daughters coach recruits players that are developed so he and his staff can spend time coaching and club coaches can keep developing players. And yes college coaches can aid in the development of a player, I just think they coach more than develope.

I think what Sweet is trying to say is that when coaches of teams that focus on competition experience success by recruiting blue chip players, credit for developing those players should actually go to the coaches who got them to the point where they could pass stringent tryouts in the first place.
