Are there any high school soccer players making significant contributions to their respective high school's football team? Or for that matter, their volleyball, swimming, cross country, or girls tennis teams this fall?

Do they also play club soccer? If so, how is that arranged?

Most of the time it is arranged between the Football coach and the Club soccer coach, that on club practice nights the football coach will let the player out a little early so he can make it to the practices. It's really not that difficult when the games for club are on the weekends it is a little more difficult when the games are on the weekdays.

Austin Jordan from Airport has done an exceptional job kicking for the football team (3-0) this year as a sophomore. He also plays in goal for Columbia United FC 93 Boys Premier team.

OK for a goalkeeper to do it. Not so much for a midfielder or forward. Technique is completely different. Good luck finding your finishing touch after kicking a football up for 4 months!!!

Playing club will definately help. Good luck with both football and your soccer season.

TJ Grimsley. The current kicker for Dillon. Kicked the winning extra point last season in the state championship game. Also, kicked game winning fg's against Silver Bluff and Hanahan. Not to mention scoring 28 goals last season.
