This speaks volumes about the "Good Ole Boy" society that is the S.C. High School League.
I try hard to support their motto of
"An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules...", but there is such a double-standard in regards to athletics across the board. If this incident would have happened in any other sport or involved other programs then the SCHSL would have thrown the baby out with the bath water!
