Way to never quit USA. Down 2-0 and come back with 10 men on field final 10 minutes or so. What was up with Tica coaches near end of the game? How many ended up ejected - I saw 2.

Costly return home. Davies done for at least a year, and Guch's knee didn't look good (patella maybe). Need both back to be dangerous. We don't have anyone else with the motor of Davies and unless Altidore is going to play with that intensity all of the time we need another high motor up top to scare peopel with speed. Great tie though.

Onyewu done for 3-4 months with torn knee tendon!

I think, but am not sure, that CRC played much of the last 5 min with 10 men. It looked to me that at the time of their injury they had their 3rd sub at the line. He was apparently coming in for another player, not the one hurt. The ref made them complete that substitution when CRC wanted to change their player coming off to the one who was injured. So the injured player came off and could not get back on for several minutes. I think it was 10 v 10 for most of extra time. Again, I'm not sure.

the Ticos coach was not happy about something. Actually escorted off the field by the police.

i think cr got a raw deal last night........its usually the usa that gets punked on the international stage but last night it was cr team/coaches. overall i think the refs did a solid job but did not manage the stoppage time well.

also - usa team did not look good and coach bob seems to be of track with his line-ups. torres looked great but hardly gets any pt w/usmnt. losing davies and onyewu for wc is huge and howard and landon can't carry the team...others will need to step up.

Simoes was ejected in the 88th minute after arguing with officials and faces a possible suspension by FIFA from one or both games against Uruguay. He said the ejection arose from a dispute over a substitution, but he also acknowledged being in a grouchy mood for much of the match. He said he told the officials at halftime: "You never blow your whistle."

I hate that he got hurt, but Gooch is too clumsy for me. I agree we have some good guys on the bench and that CRC was better, but only for the first half. It seemed like they had 10 midfielders. The crowd seemed to will the US to victory.

im hoping davies get better soon, nobody on the team has de speed with the ball davies does.

altidore is more like a big guy that would out-muscle defenders but he has not speed with the ball.

landon has speed and pace but not moves, he plas like a "robot."

davies is a HUGE lost, but with some luck the US would get him back on time for the world cup.
