Hello Everyone- YES this is a request for donations for a good cause- A Food Drive!!!!
If you would like to see me in a dress, or at least see pictures of me in a dress PLEASE think about helping us a bit!!! The short story is the girls are raising non-perishable food items with a goal of putting me in a dress. You can message or email me if you want information on how to help!!

Every year Blythewood HS as part of its philanthropic activities holds a “Winter Dreams” project where the students organize efforts to raise money, gifts, clothes, and non-perishable food items for a variety of groups and causes.
The Girls Soccer team has for the last several years been involved in the “Canned Food Drive” portion of Winter Dreams with the food collected going to God’s Storehouse over here in NE Columbia. As motivation for their efforts the girls have TWO things hopefully inspiring them to work hard at this effort- One is to beat the boys team and Two is to reach a goal of cans in order to put me in some kind of less than graceful scenario with the attire I have to wear to school for a day…. Which this year would be an Angel outfit complete with wings and halo (High Heel Stilettos are currently under negotiation) If you would like to see a picture of the outfit as well as see what our status is you can go to this website:
http://www.ladybengalsoccer.com/index_files/Page531.htmlThe first year we went head to head the two soccer teams raised over 3,100 cans, with the Girls raising over 2,000 themselves and yes- I had to wear a dress to school for the day.
Sadly or gratefully the Girls have fallen just short of goal the last two years and I have had a bit of a reprieve from wearing a dress to school.
Right now we are sitting at over 200 cans and $105 dollars raised. We count the money as 2 cans to the dollar so for dress wearing purposes we are sitting at 433ish cans with two weeks to go. In years past these last two weeks before the Christmas break have been the times we have done the best as far as collecting food items or money which we then in turn use to go buy food stuffs or give directly to God’s Storehouse.
If you are at all interested in helping us raise cans, money, or know of a place with great specials where we could net the most items for the money we have, please let me know.
