What cooperation Manchester? And which players best interests were looked after?

The offending party here is SCYSA in my opinion, not CESA. However, the only kids who got taken care of were the CESA kids. Everyone else evidently got the shaft. I don't think the other teams really felt like they were given a choice. Don't kid yourself otherwise.

Sometimes in life you have to make choices. CESA 92 has won state cup a bunch of years in row, been to regions a bunch of years in a row, etc. Through no fault of theirs they were given an addiitonal opportunity and that opportunity ended up causing a conflict. Not your fault, but it is what it is. Sometimes choices have consequences and if winning State Cup mattered so much maybe you should have dropped out of the National League event, regardless.

Last year it was about 30 degrees at my then u15 sons state cup game and we asked if starting times could be pushed back an hour or so and were told no. The extra time allowed things to warmup like 6-7 degrees and wouldn't have effected a thing. The answer was a flat NO.

Was that for the kids?

Bottom line is CESA is hyper aggressive with this team and SCYSA is evidently not terribly forward in their thinking. Instead of a creative solution they more or less allowed events to unfold and dictate what happened. Say what you want, 3/4 of the 92 kids were not looked after....and precedent has been set that state cup schedules can be changed last minute.

Expect a flurry of teams to apply for CASL next year or some such "Showcase" event and if it conflicts with State Cup.....lets see what happens. Hey its for the kids...and if they do well its all good for SC, right? Who needs structure or a calendar laid out 9-12 months in advance.
