RECCOS: It's always interesting to me that some (not all, and I assume not Coach Chass) coaches assume parents know little or nothing about a sport, coaching in general, or even their own kids.
It's a fundamental premise in youth sport that co-opted and involved parents are "happy" (or at least not openly unhappy) parents, regardless of outcome and PT. In my experience, treat a parent like a fool, and he's a lot more likely to act like one.
Conversely, bring a parent into a widely cast loop, and you'll have an ally in all team-related issues.
