And we're off like a herd of turtles! North Carolina is attacking the Blackbaud Corporate office side of the stadium while South Carolina is going toward the 526 Interstate side of the facility. Blackbaud Stadium sits on a North-South plane and we are sitting in the Public Address box on the West side of the stadium.

Ashley Aragona of Marvin Ridge opens the scoring with a super goal at the 8' mark of the first half. North Carolina makes its first opportunity count as the Tar Heels lead 1-0.

#17 for NC is Ashley Aragona....she scored the goal.
#2 is Kayla Colon.

SC goalkeeper Bilan Williams makes a meal of a back pass from Mariana Anderson and Lexi Miller's shot narrowly misses the goal as Williams and Anderson collided at the top of the penalty area. The Sandlappers are fortunate it's not 2-0 in the first quarter of an hour.

South Carolina's Catie Moore knots the match at 1-1 on 19' when she rockets a pass from Allison Lewis to pull the Sandlappers even. A great reply from SC.

We have played half an hour and it is still tied at 1-1. Decent crowd on hand in the West stands for a Friday afternoon.

It's sixes and sevens at the back right now for South Carolina. North Carolina is really firing down the right touchline and pressuring the Sandlappers. 35' and still 1-1.

A big shout out of appreciation goes out to the Charleston Battery and their awesome staff, including: Andrew Bell; Michael Anheuser; Amy Plebanek; etc., and also the ground(s) crew for the exceptional pitch!
