The Development Academy now has it's feeder system it has always needed, Columbia. I am sure some from upsate(CESA) will look at it, now the drive is a little shorter. So there will be less opportunity for Lowcountry kids. The rest will just fight over the scraps which are really the same old, same old(Summerville, James Island and Mount P). Most at Coastal United have left the other lowcountry clubs for various reasons. Will be interesting to see if they go back or something else morphs from this.
Really must give Columbia United full marks. They have adopted a vision and grown as a club while giving club members lots of opportunities. Well done.
Until there is new leadership in the Lowcountry it will be business as usual.
