From what I read..Our price is going down from last year..And I think that 20% of elite players are broken down even further because of academy ball verses challenge play

Here is a question, why were they "let go"??? Didn't one of them coach HS in SC?? Are they still coaching in SC? If not, why??? Seems weird for a large club like Charlotte United to just let go of experienced, profesional coaches.

Vic was the Coach of the FM girls last year.

Wonder why Vic was one-and-done? Would never see a football coach reach an upperstate final and not return.

There are 60 club/leagues affiliated with SCYSA in this state.
On October 18, 2009 SCYSA reported 11508 players registered with SCYSA CLICK HERE .
I think we would all agree that until recently this was the controlling entity, so again we would all agree that the number of players is somewhat fixed. Of this number 4854 players are considered classic (42%) and therefore the higher spending player. Of this number probably about 20% -1000 (my guess) would be considered elite players
You now have SCunitedA, SC united FC, SCUMP, RUSH and the grandaddy of them all CESA vying for "control". Yet the number of players is basically fixed and throw in the middle size clubs SC Bulls, LCSC, CFC, etc.
How in the world is anyone actually making money? Are the fees getting ready to go through the roof? Is the old cash cow, the 58% that play rec able to sustain this proliferation without repercussions?
When SCUMP was created... nothing changed, the coaches are still the same are the fees going up? what is the member getting for the money that is different?
I think we are reaching the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
If you look at the make up of the state you will only see DSC in the Rock Hill area of SC. Girls are going to Charlotte and Greenville to play.Rock Hill has 60 thousand people in the city limits and many more people in the county and only one soccer club.Sounds like a good set up for the one club to be massive and make money but its not.RH does have an awsome complex in a great location.If they can pull from Charlotte this could turn out to be a big club in years to come.

Saying Rock Hill only has one club is technically true, but... there are two in FM as well as the Indian Land Club which are now all merged into PUFC. You are very correct though that a club that could pull the girls back from Charlotte and get the "this corner of the state" CESA players to stay home could be very sucessful.

Could be successful however that will not happen in the near future for two reasons, leadership and the win now attitude. To be successful in todays soccer climate it's all about the merger of clubs that have a proven track record with local talent. If Rush thinks they can come in and field teams that can compete in the top divisions against Charlotte area clubs and CESA there crazy. Can Rush be a nice club in the RH area? sure, however a top club pulling in the top talent ? not going to happen.

I haven't seen anywhere what their field situation will be. I doubt if they will be using Manchester Meadows or Cherry Park? I am sure that is one of the first questions they should answer. Where will they practice and play games?

here is what i look at if i am a charlotte kid.
There are so many kids in the charlotte clubs that do not make the so called A team. They end up on the second or third team in a club, which is not bad considering some of these clubs have carried up to 5 teams per age group. Now they can go to Rock Hill which is 20 mins away and play on that A team with a much better chance of making it to regionals or playing in region III east than they ever had in charlotte. if half the disgruntled kids and families from just the C teams in each charlotte club came to Rock Hill they would have a better than average chance of winning a state or a region spot by playing in the sc league.if you just get the ft mill girls to not cross the boarder you are in good shape.
