There is a lot of work involved to get affiliated with SCYSA. They have to have approved Bi-Laws in place, structure, and other paperwork. By reading their website it looks like they plan on being approved. But I have seen coaches before assume that rules should be bent for them and are surprised when things do not go the right way.

I think if a club could truly unite the RH area then it could put together some good teams and parents will bring their kids home if the value is the same and it offers a shorter drive. And it sounds like Rush could tap into some money and talent to offer things that local clubs can not do. Such as a chance for national exposure by playing other Rush teams in other states or getting into big tournaments on the back of the Rush name. Also you will have College coaches from other areas recognizing the club name and will give more looks to those players. I think it would be silly for any of the local clubs to discount a national club off hand. I am sure a lot of local grocery stores said the same thing about Wal-Mart...

People need to be aware that "Rush" has a reputation of bringing in questionable players from overseas. No one can seem to find correct birth certificates.Look at the Georgia forum and see how the Rush brought in three Gambians two weeks before their state cup. Smells kinda funkadelic.

I think it is a moot point for SC. The word on the street is that they didn't get much of a showing for tryouts and have decided not to pursue a club.

Both coaches involved are already signed with other clubs for the fall before tryouts began- I guess they didn't have much faith either.
