If a parent makes a commitment to drive their child 60, 90, 120 miles (or more) for a tryout.....would a club waive a tryout fee? I assume some parents have their children (sometimes multiple children) trying out at multiple clubs? Does anybody get a break? Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.
