NSSC Coaches,

The players and coaches have to bring linens for Friday night. They will need to bring sheets, blanket, pillow, and towel. Please e-mail the players to let them know. We will also have it on the North/South website.

We have only received a few banquet ticket $. Remind the players to tell their parents about the tickets. It is $20 a person. The deadline is this Friday. If they can't mail it in on time, tell them to e-mail me [email protected] (I am keeping this e-mail for the summer) and let me know how many are coming. It will be $25 at the door. We really need an estimate of how many will be attending. The information on where to send the money is on the website.

The 2010 North-South Soccer Classic, sponsored by South Carolina United FC (SCUFC) and hosted by the South Carolina High School Soccer Coaches Association (SCHSSCA), will be held Saturday, June 19 at Wofford College's Snyder Field in Spartanburg. Kickoff for the girls match is 12 noon and the boys game will start at 2 p.m. Admission is $6 at the gate.

The annual summer event, which dates back to 1989 for the boys game and 1997 for the girls contest, is one of two all-star games showcasing the top senior soccer talent in the Palmetto State. In the boys series, the North holds a 14-5-2 advantage, while the girls series is tied at 6-6-1.

On Friday, June 18, the SCHSSCA will induct two more members as part of its third Hall of Fame class: Troy Bennage and Anthony Pelton. This recognition will coincide with an awards banquet featuring this year's coaches and players that will be held at Dorman High School.

===================

We are about 20 minutes away from the 2010 North-South Soccer Classic getting underway. The girls teams are on the pitch at Wofford College's beautiful Snyder Field. The temperature is 82 degrees and according to the Weather Channel, it feels like 92 degrees here in Spartanburg with blue skies and plenty of puffy clouds.
