And we're off like a herd of turtles!

11. Kaitlyn Patterson
12. Taylor Player
13. Kerry Puckett
14. Jennifer Riley
15. Sara Simpson

First real opportunity of the match sees Taylor Player fire a shot past the near post on the stadium side of Snyder Field 11 minutes into the first half.

Another shot by Player and a fine save is made by Amy Kolowsky. Sara Simpson is the most lively player thus far and is really controlling the midfield.

Against the run of play, Rebecca Eads puts the North on the board at 14:32 as she knocks in a pass from Mackenzie Waldon. First opportunity for the North squad is taken advantage of by Eads and Waldon!

Both matches will observe a short break at 20 minutes and it is 1-0 in favor of the North as we begin the second stanza of the first half.

North goalkeeper Amy Kolowski survives a threat from the South as she records a save at a point-blank range on an attempt by Jennifer Riley. Just before that action the press tables and tents had its own survival issue as a couple of players came sliding into the area.

First half ends North 1-0 South.
